How to Shop and Buy at the Dell Store
|Q||How do I complete my purchase online?
|A||After choosing to customise your system(s) or product(s) of choice and reviewing your order, you can decide to either Save Your Order or Complete your Order.
To Complete Your Order, select 'Continue'. This will take you to our online store checkout (Customer Information Page) where you will be asked to provide the information necessary to process your order request.
You can either access your Order from your current shopping session or retrieve a saved cart from a previous visit by clicking "Retrieve Saved Cart" on any page on our website.
The online store checkout contains 3 steps:
1. Delivery Information
2. Payment Information
3. Order Confirmation
Please provide the information requested and click "Continue" to proceed to the next step as you checkout.
To complete your order, Click "Submit Order" after reaching the Confirm & Submit Order page. Do this only after reviewing the order details and ensuring their accuracy.
|Q||How do I Save, Retrieve, Share my Shopping Cart?
|A||After adding your system(s) of interest to your shopping cart and while viewing your shopping cart, select "Save This Cart".
Then provide a name and e-mail address to associate with your cart and click on "Continue". Your cart will be assigned a reference number and saved for 4 days.
Shortly after saving your cart, you will receive an e-mail with your cart's retrieval information, as well as retrieval instructions, as a helpful record of your actions.
If you want to Share Your Cart with a friend, co-worker, purchasing manager, or even your Dell sales representative, simply add a "Cart Name" and any desired descriptive comments to your submission. This information will be added to the confirming e-mail we send you and can be forwarded by you to others at your discretion.
Saving a cart does not guarantee product availability or lock pricing and while all efforts are made to check pricing and other errors, inadvertent errors do occur from time to time and Dell reserves the right to decline orders arising from such errors. Upon retrieving your saved cart, you will be notified of any changes in pricing (typically prices will be lower!) and if any of the systems in your cart have become invalid due to product changes at Dell. These notifications are one-time only and will appear to the first person viewing your saved cart.
|Q||Can someone from Dell help me complete my order online?
|A||You can submit your request for Sales assistance online by first adding your system to your shopping cart and then selecting "Request Sales Help" . After completing your contact information, click on "Continue" to submit your request.
We will typically get back to you within two business days. For more immediate handling, please visit 'Contact Us' for the most appropriate phone number.
Be sure to let your sales representative know you were shopping our website and if you had any problems in using our site.
If you don't feel comfortable in providing your payment details over the internet, you can submit the minimum amount of information necessary for a Dell sales representative to contact you, finalise payment & submit your order. No credit card numbers need be provided.
- Select the "Please have a Dell representative contact me for my payment details" payment option when asked for a payment option.
- Click "Submit Order" after reaching the Confirm & Submit Order page. Do this only after reviewing the order details and ensuring their accuracy.
