We will spend an hour with you, one-on-one, showing you how to use the features of your new computer or any other topic of your choice. You’ll be set up and in full control of your new computer.

If you’ve just purchased a new computer, our gizmotechs can help you get it up and running.

We visit your place, unpack you computer and get it ready to use. We can also transfer your data, install peripherals and applications so you’re left set up and ready to go.

We will:

Unpack and initialise your computer for the first time Connect your computer to an existing wired/wireless network Configure your email program to access your email account If required, install gizmo’s productivity software CD (Adobe Acrobat Reader, Flash, Java etc)

And either:

Install 2 items of hardware or software (e.g. Standard printer, Portable Hard Drive)

OR

Transfer up to 8GB of data from your old computer to your new computer

Network Me $169

If you have two or more computers (PC or Mac), connecting them with a wireless network can help you achieve much more.

Our Network Me service lets you use your laptop in the garden, share a single Internet connection, swap music, share a printer, centralise information, hook up other devices and much more - all in cable-free freedom.

We will:

Connect your router to the internet Establish a secure wireless network Connect up to 2 devices to your wireless router Configure file sharing of up to two directories between your connected computers Share an existing and functional printer between your computers If required, we will install the network cards required to get your computers onto the network

If you don’t live within our onsite service area we can provide you with this service over the phone.

Kids Safe Online $169

Keeping the internet good clean fun for all the family

The internet is a great way for your kids to learn, have fun and get the most from their lives. It can also expose them to information and images which are just not suitable.

As a parent, you can however minimise these dangers so that you can be sure that your family enjoys all that the computer and internet offer, only more safely.

Set up each family member with their own user account Set up a family member with your tailored parental controls in Windows Vista which determine access to websites, programmes and games Show you how to update your parental controls Show you how to run and check activity reports Update antivirus/antispyware software and enable firewall (if required) Answer any questions you might have
