CompleteCover Guard Claim Process

How To Ensure That Your Claims Are Processed Quickly

At Dell, we understand that you have just been through a distressing experience with the loss of your valuable Dell notebook and data.

In order to get you back on your feet again with a replacement system and ensure that your CompleteCoverTM  Guard claim is processed in the shortest time possible, you will be requested to undergo the following process with Dell.

Please ensure that you have these documents ready before contacting Dell:

  • Download a copy of Dell's CompleteCoverTM  Guard Claim Form. You can contact Dell for a copy if you do not have access to the Web.
  • Obtain a copy of the Police Report for the incident. This is necessary for your claims to be approved.

You must contact us no later than 7 business days from the date of the incident to report the theft and lodge your claims.

Step 2

Ensure that you have the following Documentation ready:

  • Dell service tag (of stolen unit). You may be asked to produce a copy of your Dell Tax Invoice if you are unable to provide your service tag reference.
  • Valid copy of recent police report
  • Complete the copy of Dell's CompleteCover Guard Claim Form
  • Provide 2 sets color photograph of break-in (one showing forcible entry e.g. broken door/lock/window; second showing building address or vehicle plate number broken into.

Step 3

Upon receipt of the Documentation, Dell's CompleteCover Guard Claims Department will determine if the Claims request meets the guidelines set forth by the program. You will receive a confirmation from Dell on whether your Claim is successful within 1 business day upon receipt of complete documentation.

Step 4

If Dell determines that the CompleteCover Guard Claim is valid then you will be issued with a replacement Dell notebook of similar model and/or specifications. Dell CompleteCover Guard Claims Department will provide you with the relevant reference numbers and lead-time for delivery of your replacement notebook.
