Dell OptiPlex desktops deliver performance-driven technology and outstanding capabilities in an incredibly power-efficient design.
With next-generation OptiPlex systems, you can conserve the earth's resources as well as those of your business. Our new default OptiPlex Energy Smart configuration delivers up to $53 in annual per-system power savings right out of the box*.
At the same time, OptiPlex systems with Dell Energy Smart enabled can help reduce energy consumption and resultant C02 emissions by up to 55%*. Based on last year's desktop shipments, that's a possible annual reduction of 4.6 Millions tons of C02*! To reduce the same amount of C02 emissions each year, approximately 1 million cars would have to be taken off the road*.
But your savings don't stop there. Additionally, when you opt for the most efficient CPU and a flat-panel monitor, your annual savings nearly double - up to $69 per system per year - reducing up to 70%* C02 emissions annually. If every system were optimally set up for power efficiency, based on last year's desktop shipments our customers worldwide could realize a total power savings of up to approximately $1 billion dollars!

The latest dual-core technology is designed to improve performance while consuming less power than previous-generation processor technology. With our new OptiPlex family, you can continue to enjoy advanced multitasking with the power to run multiple and multi-threaded applications - all with industry-leading processor power efficiency.
Thanks to intelligent CPU technologies that balance power usage with application demands, OptiPlex systems consume up to 40% less power than their predecessors when running office productivity applications*. They also can deliver up to 30% higher processing power performance over the OptiPlex GX620*
OptiPlex power settings exceed the worldwide mutually recognized Energy Star standard, which means that each desktop is designed to further reduce power consumption and energy costs. Every system is ENERGY STAR® compliant out of the factory, and the BIOS is pre-set to go into sleep state at 15 minutes of inactivity (vs. ENERGY STAR specs of 30 minutes).
OptiPlex desktops feature Power Factor Correction (PFC) power supplies, which help you save energy costs and reduce the likelihood of power draws that could trip an electrical breaker. (Line current may be reduced by 12% or more over some desktop PC power supplies*.)
In addition, hardened power supplies offer brown-out circuitry and line-surge protection to help minimize stress on power supply and provide black-out protection for a more seamless user experience.
