ImageDirect: Easy Transition, Easy Deployment


Securely create, load and manage custom images onto your Dell client systems. ImageDirect helps makes it easy to transition and easy to deploy new Dell hardware. We have fully integrated ImageDirect into our production systems so that the images you create can be seamlessly applied to your systems during the manufacturing process.

ImageDirect enables you to focus on management of a single image that works across multiple platforms and departments. And once your image is in ImageDirect, it is available to work with future Dell hardware platforms, greatly reducing the time and cost for product transitions:

  • Deploying systems with ImageDirect can save up to 82%* of IT staff time.
  • Deploying systems for remote users with ImageDirect can save up to 86%* of IT staff time.
  • Creating images with ImageDirect can save on average 87%* of IT staff time.
How it works: Using icon-driven functionality, Dell ImageDirect prompts you to import, create and manage images; upload and manage components; and download images and drivers. Depending on your needs, you can import and/or build images to your specifications. Images can also be downloaded for validation in your environment. This helps to ensure a consistent software build throughout your organization and helps you meet any licensing and compliance requirements.

Our consultants are skilled at scripting and providing cross-platform imaging using Dell and Microsoft® technologies. This helps ensure the image is right the first time, to help you get a fully functional image ready for system deployment.
