Personalised content based on your Service Tag and your system configuration

During installation, the Dell Support Centre will ask for your permission to collect your Service Tag and information about your system configuration (the hardware and software installed on your computer).

To make the Dell Support Centre experience more valuable to you, Dell uses your Service Tag and system configuration information to personalize the content and tools for your system. Aside from your Service Tag, none of the system configuration or use data can be used to identify you.

  • Your navigation of the Dell Support Centre suite of tools will be easy and intuitive.
  • Drivers and Download pages will offer solutions and updates that are specific to the hardware and software on your system.
  • Dell can send customised lists of diagnostics and error fixes directly to your system.
  • Dell can send you proactive technical support alerts that are relevant to your computer.
Customer privacy is of the utmost concern to Dell.

Dell will not collect any computer use information outside of the Dell support tools, such as Internet use or personal files. Moreover, we will not sell any information we collect in connection with the Dell support tools or otherwise disclose the information for commercial purposes. You can use the Dell Support Centre without allowing Dell to collect your Service Tag and system configuration information, but you will not receive the benefits of shortcuts through the website to valuable information and tools for your system.

If you prefer personalised links and tools, you can change your usage information and Service Tag settings at any time by going to the User Settings section within the application.

RETURNS POLICY: Dell’s “Returns Policy” found at http://www.dell.com.my applies to all sales. Choose carefully, as order cancellation rights are limited and additional costs may apply.

MISTAKES: While all efforts are made to check pricing and other errors, inadvertent errors do occur from time to time and Dell reserves the right to decline orders arising from such errors.

ONSITE SERVICE : Technician, replacement part or unit (depending on service contract) will be dispatched if necessary following phone-based troubleshooting. Subject to parts availability, geographical restrictions (on site and/or next business day service not available in some locations) and terms of service contract. Service timing dependent upon time of day call placed to Dell. Defective unit must be returned or paid for. Replacements may be refurbished .

COMPLETECOVER: service is available for personal computers, Axim PDAs, Dell branded projectors and LCD TV. CompleteCover excludes theft, loss, and damage due to fire, intentional damage, acts of God or natural disasters, animals, pets or pests. Customer may be required to return unit to Dell. For complete details refer to CompleteCover service agreement found at www.dell.com/ap/services . This service is only available in selected countries.
