| Q | Does Dell train its employees on environmental issues? |
| A | Yes. Employees and full-time contractors are given an introduction to environmental issues when they are first hired on. Employees in organizations with environmental impacts are also trained on ISO 14001 (Dell's Environmental Management System) requirements, and many are involved with setting or working to meet departmental environmental goals. Other training classes are required for certain employee groups, such as "Design for EHS" targeted to product design and manufacturing engineers. In addition to training, employees are given the opportunity to work on and develop local environmental projects, such as carpool programs. |
